Joseph Dusetzina

Joseph DusetzinaJoseph Dusetzina, 68, of Rankin, passed away suddenly Thursday, April 14, 2016. He was a son of the late Joseph and Helen (Habarka) Dusetzina; brother of Mark (Dyan), James (Jeanne), Ronald (Georgette), Charles and the late Richard and John Dusetzina; also survived by four nieces, two nephews and one great-niece and one great-nephew. Joe retired from U.S. Steel, was an active member of the Rankin VFD, where he served as treasurer. Joe also served as fire chief and assistant fire chief for both Rankin VFD and Braddock VFD. Joe also served as the steward for more than 10 years at the ACR Club in Rankin and as an active member at the Rankin Croatian Home. Joe will be remembered for his love of playing bingo, crossword puzzles, trivia, his sense of humor and kind heart. He will be sorely missed by many.

Albert Nicholas Hrubic

Albert was son of the late Michael (Barbara Simiji) Hrubic; beloved husband of Shirley (Simko) Hrubic; father of Marilyn (Robert) Burstein and Janet (Daniel) Shay; grandfather of Nicholas Albert Burstein, Blake Daniel Shay, Ashley Ann Marie Shay; great-grandfather of Theodore Robert Burstein; uncle of Barbara Hrubic Dravecky. Ret. U.S. Steel Carrie Furnace. U.S. Army Vet.

Walter John Wills

Walter John WillsOn Saturday, March 5, 2016, age 74, of North Braddock, PA. Beloved husband of Carol (Randolph) Wills of 30 years; father of Mark (Kellye) Wills of Birmingham, AL, Karen Retchless of Palm Harbor, FL, and the late Steven Wills; brother of Michael E. (Dianna) Wills of Marietta, PA; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Special Thanks to Dr. Gordon- Handelsman and Dr. Ricci Minella. Walter served in United States Marines and Army.

Robert P. Leichliter

leichliterOn February 29, 2016, at age 92, Bob passed away peacefully at Canterbury Place in Lawrenceville. He was a recent resident of Point Pleasant Senior Community. Beloved husband of the late Mary Martin Leichliter for 59 years, living most of them on Maryellen Dr. in North Versailles. The loving father of five children, Ronald Leichliter (VA), Nancy Curry (N. Versailles), Brenda Clark (FL), Joyce Grace (FL), and Donna Gouker (E. McKeesport); proud grandfather of nine, Kathy, Rana, David, Jeff, Brandy, Dawn, Robbie, Alex, and Erik; as well as six great- grandchildren, Layla, Billy, Ozzy, Izzy, Zeke and Ashlyn. Bob served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was employed over 30 years at U.S. Steel Duquesne Works. He was active with the American Legion Post 701, the V.F.W. Post 5008, and St. Robert Bellarmine Men’s Club.

Chappie; loving mother of Michael S., William E., Pauline Tierney (Dennis) Yankes and the late John L. Tierney; Grammy of Lindsey; the Great-Grammy of Jaycie; sister of Sylvia (and the late Sparky) Ehrhardt; and numerous nieces and nephews.

(surviving wife Patricia) Lukacs of North Versailles; sister of Lillian Iocca (the late Albert) and the late Bronco Vuyanich (the late Emma); cherished grandmother of Mila (Al) Senic, Dianne (Jim) Zuccarelli, Michelle (John) Corna, Nicole (Matt) Rok, Nina (Shawn) Kopa, Michael (Kate) Lukacs and Marco Lukacs; much beloved great- grandmother (“great-grandma Corn Curl”) of Julia (Adam) Curry, James (Sydni) Zuccarelli, Liza (David Bridge) Senic, Anthony Zuccarelli, Jeffrey Zuccarelli, Samantha Robl, Casey Kopa, Cody Kopa, Ava Rok, and Bella Rok; fun loving great-great-grandmother of Reese and Lily Curry. Robert McEwan Everett

mcewanOn Thursday, January 28, 2016, Robert, age 86, of White Oak, passed away. Beloved husband of 60 years to Priscilla Taylor McEwan; loving father of Keith Scott (Donna) McEwan, Terry Lee (Carol) McEwan, Laurie (David) Wilson and Jill (the late John) McEwan Sivak. Robert was an Industrial Engineer at the Pittsburgh office of US Steel for 28 years. He was a graduate of Westminster College and a proud member of the US Navy and served during the Korean Conflict. Also he was a member of 56 years to Hope United Methodist Church.

Keith “Kippy” Phillip O’Grady

candle2On Saturday December 12, 2015, Keith age 61 formerly of North Versailles, surrounded by his siblings died peacefully at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Loving son of the late Henry and Marty O’Grady. Beloved father of Michael (Jessie), of Augusta GA and Kevin of Prescott, Arizona. His former wife Shelia Narbeski O’Grady of Augusta, GA. Brother of, Mary Pat (John) Soltis, Jeanne (Joe) Duke, and Sheila (Bob) Riberich, Harry (Mary Ellen), Timothy, John (Claudia) and the late Dennis O’Grady.   He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Keith was affectionately referred to as “Kippy” by his large Irish family. He was a great salesman, golfer, and tennis player. He will be remembered by his gregarious nature, quick wit, photographic memory, and his ability to command a room with his entertaining gift for storytelling. He may be gone from this world but he will always remain in our hearts. No Visitation, A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
