Donald G. “Hecky” Heckenstaller

Loving husband of 63 years of Theresa (Swacus) Beloved father of Virginia (David) Rowe, Donald Heckenstaller, David (Kathleen) Heckenstaller, and Craig Heckenstaller. Grandfather of Nathan (Casey Rowe), and Emily Rowe. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Don graduated Scott High School in 1948 and Duquesne University. A proud Korean War veteran, Don served in the Navy. He had 32 ½ years with Peoples Gas. Don was a member of Wilmerding Lions Club, Braddock Knights of Columbus Council 911, and the St. Roberts Men’s Club. He enjoyed Golfing, Bowling and was an avid Pirate, Penguin, and Steelers fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and helping out at Heckey Graphics.

She is preceded in death by her son Andrew Wilson and grandson Andrew Jr. 6 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Andy Mitnik, Jr.

ANDY-MITNIK-2015On Friday August 14, 2015, Andy Mitnik, Jr age 86 of North Versailles, passed away suddenly. Son of the late Andrew and Anna Mitnik. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years Mildred Mitnik. Also brothers George, Albert, Mike, Bob, and sisters Florence and Anna. Loving father of Karen (Dominic) Cicco, Kenny (Darlene) Mitnik, both of N. Versailles, Kevin (Beth) Mitnik of Level Green, and the late Mary Ann Mitnik. Grandfather of Phillip (Rebecca) Cicco, Valerie Cicco, Megan and Emily Mitnik; Great-Grandfather of Colin and Adeline Cicco. Survived by Brother Al, Sisters Mary (Jimmy) Sljva, Pauline (Joe) Korotko and Sister-in-laws Inge Mitnik and Barbara Mitnik also numerous nieces and nephews. A proud WW2 veteran, Andy served 2 years in the Navy and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer (W4) after 40 years in the U.S. Army. Andy also spent 40 years as an electrician with US Steel Edgar Thomson Works and 16 years with the East Allegheny School District.

Pedro “Mr. Pete” Gutierrez

wheatFriday July 24, 2015 Pedro “Mr. Pete” departed at the age of 82. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Evelyn (Shorthouse) Gutierrez, brother Joseph, sister Jennie (Boyko), grandson, John Michael Lash, stepson Timothy Shorthouse, and good friend Richard Kowalski. Mr. Pete is survived by his son Joseph A. Gutierrez (Melissa) and his granddaughter Gabbie, sisters Alice Boyd and Julia Kowalski, and his brothers Arthur J.(Rita) and William (Nancy). He also is survived by his stepchildren: Robert Shorthouse, Cathy Knapick (Rich), Dennis Shorthouse (Jackie), Dea Lash (Glenn), Cheryl Rogowski (John), Sharon Brown (Bill), Sammy Shorthouse (Tammy), in addition to 17 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and the many others that loved him. He was retired from US Steel, and Peachbottom Nuclear Power Plant. In his retirement he enjoyed the stock market and loved to offer suggestions.

Arrangements

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday 10:00am, August 12, 2015 at St. Robert Bellarmine, 1313 5th Ave., East McKeesport. Interment will follow at New St. Joseph Cemetery and the family has extended an invitation for all attendants to return to St. Robert’s Church Hall for lunch.

Raymond M. Dinkfelt

PIC-DINKFELT-2015Raymond M. Dinkfelt, Age 87, a faithful servant of our lord and savior Jesus Christ was born into eternal life Sunday August 2, 2015. Husband of the late Bernice C. (Ditillo) Dinkfelt; dearly beloved father of Raymond (Diane), Richard (Kathy), and Robert (Ginny); dear grandfather of Jamie (Robert Gogo, Jr.), Brian, Brad and Carolyn; loving great-grandfather of Robert Gogo, III; brother of Tillie Hatcher, Richard (Nancy) and the late August, John, Albert, Oates, Charles, Clarence and William. Also survived by brother-in-law and sister-in-law Anthony and Peggy Ditillo, sister-in-law June (the late Ted) Ditillo, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ray was born June 28, 1928 in Braddock, PA to the late August and Mary (Rentel) Dinkfelt. He and his beautiful, loving Bernice were married August 26, 1950 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Braddock, PA. Ray was a master carpenter and member of the Racing Pigeon Hall of Fame.

Marc F. Davidow

pic-marc-2015On Saturday July 18, Marc F. Davidow age 56 of Pittsburgh, passed away due to complications after a month long struggle with illness. Son of the late Lester and Zella Davidow. Loving Husband of Debra.   Beloved father of Robert, Samuel (Chrissie), and Jesse (Krystle) Marc loved his daughters-in-law as if there were his own. He was particularly known for being an incredibly gentle and kind soul. The sacrifices he made and the never quit attitude will be the keystone in which his memory is built. The love and affection he instilled in his 13 grandchildren in the few years he was a grandfather are paramount as shared most recently with Alyssa, Ethan. Lily and Leah. A beautiful Husband, Daddy, and Pop Pop.

Barry Likovich
