Chester “Whitey” Barclay

On Saturday, January 24, 2015, Chester, age 87, of Rankin, passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Beloved husband of 50 years to the late Anka (Mesko) Barclay; loving father of Janie and Ruthanne Barclay; uncle of Betty Anne (Jack) Steele; special friend and companion, Fran Guarin; grandfather of Marty Matelan, Michelle (Joe) Lagnese, Nick (Jen) Matelan, Amy Cush (Josh) Obusek, and David (Elyse) Kalaluhi; 12 great- grandchildren; brother of the late Joan Fogel and Ida Schweiger; also numerous nieces and nephews. He was an active member of St. Michaels Orthodox Church, a member of the ACR club in Rankin, and the Slovak Club in Braddock. He enjoyed swimming at Sandcastles and spending time with his family. Friends received Monday 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. with Parastas at 3 p.m. at the JAMES F. KUTCH FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATORY, 107 4th Ave., Rankin, PA 15104, with Parastas Tuesday 9:30 a.m. at funeral home, then Divine Liturgy Tuesday 10 a.m. at St. Michaels OGC Church, Rankin, PA.
